Privacy Policy
This site collects usage measurement data, part of which records visitor sessions. This policy sets out what is collected, the basis on which it is processed, the providers involved, and how to opt out.
01
Who is responsible
ZZOERA, trading as Launch in Korea, business registration number 198-31-01799, Seoul, Republic of Korea, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
For any privacy question or request: contact@launchinkorea.com
02
What this site collects
This site does not offer accounts, logins or payments. The data collected consists of usage measurement data and any correspondence you send to us by email.
- Session recording and heatmaps — via Microsoft Clarity. This records how you move through the page: mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and which elements you interact with. Clarity masks text input by default. The data is used to assess usability, not to identify individuals.
- Site analytics — via Google Analytics 4. Pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, referring site, and a small number of events we define: which call to action was clicked, which product type was selected, and which language version of the site was used.
- Aggregate traffic counts — via Vercel Analytics, which records page views without cookies.
- Email correspondence — if you write to us, we keep your message and address so we can reply and, where relevant, quote and invoice you.
03
Why we collect it
The data is used to assess and improve the effectiveness of this site. Our legal basis under the GDPR is legitimate interest for measurement, and performance of a contract or steps taken at your request for email correspondence. Where consent is required in your jurisdiction for analytics cookies or session recording, we rely on the consent mechanism your browser or our banner presents.
04
Cookies
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies to recognise a returning browser across a session. We set no advertising cookies, run no ad network, and do not sell or share data with data brokers. These cookies may be blocked or deleted in your browser at any time without affecting the operation of the site.
05
Who processes it, and where
We use third-party providers who process this data on our behalf, on servers outside Korea, including in the United States and the European Union.
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4
- Microsoft Corporation — Clarity
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and aggregate analytics
- Cloudflare, Inc. — DNS and email routing
- Google LLC — email (Google Workspace) for correspondence sent to contact@launchinkorea.com
These transfers rely on the providers’ standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards. Each provider publishes its own privacy terms, which apply to their processing.
06
How long we keep it
Clarity recordings are retained for the period set by Microsoft’s default retention, currently around 30 days. Analytics data is retained on a rolling basis and then aggregated. Email correspondence is kept for as long as we may need it for the relationship and any tax or accounting obligation that applies to it.
07
Your rights
Under Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act and, where it applies to you, the GDPR, you can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or provide it in a portable form. Write to contact@launchinkorea.com and we will respond within 30 days.
You may also complain to a supervisory authority — in Korea, the Personal Information Protection Commission; in the EU, your national data protection authority.
08
How to opt out now
- Google Analytics — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser.
- Microsoft Clarity — Clarity honours the Global Privacy Control signal; blocking third-party scripts or cookies also stops it.
- Any content blocker that blocks analytics scripts prevents collection entirely. No functionality on this site depends on them.
09
Client material
Material you send us as a client — store listings, product copy, screens, builds — is handled under our Terms of Service, which set out confidentiality obligations stricter than this policy. Where that material contains personal data of your users, we act as a processor on your instructions.
10
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
